Scam or Not?
I was contacted by company by the name of Vmedia( vacation Media), I was told that it was interested in buying my vacation weeks from my timeshare. It sounded real interesting fact too interesting they wanted me to give them 10 weeks and would pay $1500 a week all I had to pay is the start up fee and this would occur every year because RCI grants me the ability to use 10 weeks every year. Well the start up fee was $1,590 that's $159.00 per week Which is normally $399 but because they were buying them all at once they get a discount. Still sounding good but going along in my head is how was it that you give such a high return on such a low investment? Okay and then here it comes the credit card and they want the $1,590 right upfront, but the $15,000.00 will be mailed to me in 30 days.

You send the $1,500 up front, with a credit card number and watch your credit card bill skyrocket. You will never see the $15,000.00.

To me that's the clue that it's a scam. Plus one cannot find information about them on the web. Smells like an advance fee scam.

ANY time someone wants YOU to pay them before THEY pay YOU, it's a SCAM SCAM SCAM!
Some are pyramid schemes, where the first few people get their $15,000 out of the first suckers, so that they have some genuine testimonials, but very quickly they stop that (not having any money other than the $1590's coming in to cover) and then they flee the coop.

If it was real they would just deduct the money from the check, total scam.

Wow... Thanks guys, they created a website www.wvmedia.com and made a point for me to see that they've been in business for 35 years... Woo hoo
