Both political parties have their own version of command and control economics
The Dems believe in giving cash away to crony capitalists who would attempt to force the Green New Steal on the nation.

The Repubs believe in a Roosevelt like industrial policy that would give cash to crony capitalists who would create jobs for the unemployed workers in the rust belt. (note that every unemployment report is at a very low below 4% ;and many Repubs secretly welcome the waive of illegal immigrants because that helps fill vacant job openings )

Bottom line is that IF the products being subsidized were in demand ;there would not be a reason for the subsidies . These companies would makes the products .
It is also a myth that more manufacturing will create more jobs for the blue collar workers. Much of the manufacturing work is being done by robots . AI will further reduce labor demand .

The only workers who might benefit are highly educated white collar workers.
For the blue collars ;no problem .We pay them not to work despite the fact that we allegedly need more immigration to fill the jobs they won't do.

Forget the boondoggle of the Green New Steal that is funneling almost $900 billion in monopoly bucks for products nobody wants.
The CHIPs and Science Act of 2022 has us forking over $54 billion to Clueless Joe supporting Silicone Valley oligarchs .

To hell with the huge national debt that the Presidents and Congresses of the last 20 years have allowed to explode . Keep those Monopoly money printing presses running .
