    Auditory hallucinations when asleep/half-asleep
In the past 4 months I have experienced a loud, sort of angry sound in my ear as I am falling asleep or early in the morning (which makes me wake up). A couple times it was the voice of a woman and she seemed to yell a word at me angrily, the other time it was the voice of a man just screaming "ahhh" and today I woke up to a parrot shriek.
I would like to know if this is normal and what the phenomenon is called please.

''Hypnagogic Hallucinations - These are hallucinations that are often described as nightmares or vivid (often frightening) dreamlike experiences that seem real while falling asleep or waking up. You may experience hearing sounds or words when drifting to sleep or have unwanted visions.''

They might possibly be a sign of narcoplepsy, so check out some sites that give you a short set of questions.

I wouldn't say it's normal, but I think almost all of us have experienced it once in a great while. If it's happening 'often,' such as at least once a week, and you are teens to early 20s, then I would see a neurologist.

Definitely see a doctor. They will likely refer you to a specialist. I would not simply ignore them until a qualified medical professional tells you that you can.
