    The same currency all the other states had and have. Of course there have been changes made to paper money to ID it, and various quarters have been added.... but again, to the whole US.

    American, or is this a trick question? I highly Doubt it was the Peso or Canadian dollars.

    Alabama has used the same currency as the rest of the US since 1865. Now if you had asked about Georgia, I'd have to wonder is you were asking about the US state or the country in Asia.
