    Need help! I have a 1700 sq ft vct floor to strip and wax. What is the going rates for this type of flooring? Also have a 3 men crew, do you charge by the job or sqf?

    I can only give you a suggested price as in the end pricing is always you decision. Many items affect ricing; location, competition, union/nonunion, etc.

    In the Chicago area to completely strip (assuming there are only three or less coats of wax as more will take longer) and finish with 3 to 4 coats of UL approved wax:

    1,700 sq ft of regular VCT x $0.28 / sq ft = $476.00 or

    $0.30 / sq ft x 1,700 sq ft = $510.00
