    Ok, finally home as the arrow on the thing between the black nuts does point flow up, so seems right in there. Right?

    Huh, went to Menards... nothing even close to that plug or that could be substituted even. What's the best place to buy that plug?

    Not to be smart-alec, but in post #12 I specifically mentioned a local PLUMBING SUPPLY STORE... ;) Only a plumbing supply store will carry the plug or gasket kit in stock. Otherwise, you could also look online... zoeller sells these as does little giant and Grundfos.

    Glad to hear the check valve is in correctly. I only mention it because we order the same type of check/ball valve but they are all one piece and ball valve is always on top. Only reason to have a ball valve at all is so you can shut if off, break the unions and remove the check valve to remove or service the pump without all the overhead waste coming back down on you. As it stands, the ball valve is of no use to you. Not really a problem, as Ive worked on many ejector pits that didn't have any valves at all. Just be ready for a bit of a mess if you ever need to change out the check valve.
