    Obama's identity crisis
The President is running out of former Presidents to compare himself to.
He started channelling Lincoln ,then he was Reagan for a while... then he was 'given them hell Harry 'Truman .

Yesterday ,in an address at Osawatomie Kansas, he channelled Teddy Roosevelt who ran an independent "progressive " campaign in 1912 .

TR made a "historic " address at Osawatomie Kansas where he ranted about many of the same themes the President and the Occupiers bring up . (TR of course was the product of the wealthy Harvard elites ,but that is another contradiction lost in the narrative) .

The New Nationalism - Theodore Roosevelt 1910

TR made the case for a "New Nationalism " which when summed up was a condemnation of business interests ,and their control of both political parties.

His entry in the race split the Republic Party vote and ensured Woodrow Wilson's victory... (who adopted or stole many of TR's platform).. mission accomplished .

Of course Obama is no Lincoln ,Reagan ,Truman or Teddy Roosevelt . If he is looking for a President who he resembles then he should look no further than Jimmy Carter .

Tom, you are quite right, I think after the 2012 elections, he can start building houses with Jimmy Carter.
