I've done this a hundred times in my job, but this one time it doesn't seem to do it.
Started at a job a couple months ago, which was all PC based. 2 weeks ago they hire a new GD. He needs a Mac. No problem. Set it up, connect to AD, no issue right?
Well, there is one problem. I can't get the Mac to print to the network printer. Every time I try, I get NT_ACCESS_DENIED.
I have tried this in multiple ways - first through the main interface. Since it's 10.4.8, it is suppose to resolve. I then tried to resolve the path manually, but something weird happened (which I will get into in a second). Finally, I did the smb://user: pass\server\printer. That came back with the same problem.
The weird thing I mentioned was that when I chose our network from the list, it saw our Domain Server, but none of the other servers. The print server is on the 3rd server in our domain. We have 11 servers, yet it only sees the Primary Domain Controller. I am wondering if this is something to note.
NEWho, I am not sure what else to do. I checked and double checked all the settings to add the machine to AD, and it works for the user otherwise.
Any thought?
