desii Apr 3, 2004, 01:50 PM hey...i need some help with my skin. i have really dark skin. i dont think i do because when i look in the mirror and i see a light person. lol but people tell me i am DARK lyke chocolate. soo is there any cream or soap or SOEMTHING any thing at all i can do to be lighter. i do some times spend time in the sun and the cream i current use has vitamin b3 and natrual milk protien so is that good or what should i use... thanks a bunch :)
viking Apr 11, 2004, 10:59 AM I don't think that you should try to change the appearance of your skin. GOing from light to dark is a bit easier because you can simply submit your skin to ultraviolet rays and incease the amount of melanin being produced which will lead to darker skin. THis, of course, has detrimental health effects. There are safeer products such as soy-based dyes that work termporarily for darkening the skin. Unfortunately, for lightening the skin there are no great methods but there are some that will leave your skin permanently lighter. Look at Michael Jackson. He has permanently changed the color of his skin through bleaching. I would try less exposure to the sun for starters and then find someone who loves your skin color and spend more time with them.
tonnie_97 Apr 23, 2004, 02:57 PM where are you from? do you have papaya soap there try using one b'coz here in country they use papaya soap to lighten the skin...
grace_versales May 12, 2004, 05:42 PM Sun block would probably help.
Good luck!
Dee_nyce May 12, 2004, 06:01 PM Just luv the skin your in...GOD does!
desii May 13, 2004, 10:19 PM i live in california, garden grove. i dont think i have ever heard of papaya soap. what contry are u from? is there a certian brand that makes it or should i just ask for papaya soap at the store?
author=tonnie_97 link=board=skin_care;num=1081029055;start=0#2 date=04/23/04 at 14:57:49]where are you from? do you have papaya soap there try using one b'coz here in country they use papaya soap to lighten the skin...
tonnie_97 May 16, 2004, 07:48 AM i think its carica, im from the philippines and here papaya/carica soaps are used to lighten dark skin.
Samudio57 Jun 10, 2004, 05:41 PM I suggests you should go see a dermatologists first. I've used papaya soap before but not long enough to actually see the result. Papaya soap is very popular in the Philippines, it must work! In fact, I'm trying it again to see if it actually works. I live in Mira Mesa that's in San Diego, CA and you can buy this at any Asian store. I don't know if they have one there in Garden Grove but I'm pretty sure they do. Just ask the cashier lady about it and they will tell you. Good Luck!
desii Jun 10, 2004, 10:21 PM garden grove is like ASIAN CITY... we got a LOt of asian stores. i still havnt found papya soap tho. i also have trouble finding a good doctor. i keep changing becuase they ALL turn out to be weridos. thanks for the help tho. i currently use "fair and lovley" cream. i think it works. i should have taken a pix before and after affects. i dont reall use it like the box says soo. i am also in the sun EVERY day
You should really ask a skin specialist, because many bleaching creams contain forbidden substances (even when it is not on the bottle), even mercury, that can leave you with darker and lighter areas on your skin, that no dermatologist can ever take away.
Look, I am very light skinned and al of my life people have been telling me to go in the sun to get a tan (which I do not get). Finally I have stopped trying and now enjoy my light skin like it is and cultivate it. I do not go into the sun and that does make a difference.
If your skin is naturally darker, staying away from the sun will not make you snowwhite, but it will have you look in the summer, as you look in the winter.
I really reccomand not using any creams that are made in third world countries, because of hidden harmful substances. There is too little control.
Take care, fj, M.D.
Pinay24 Jul 31, 2004, 09:44 PM I agree using with Papaya soap but then you have to make sure with the right papaya soap with the highest Papaya concentrate on it. I have actually use it before not for skin whitening but for my pimples.
I live in California as well & I know they have it in Pilipinomart.com but then again it is not the right Papaya that I used before & I never tried that soap.
I know they have a lot of Papaya brand in the Philippines mostly are Likas. The ones I used back when I was in college was just pure Papaya (wrapper is cellophane not paper box). My cousin who is a pharmacy student at that time & they sold it on their Pharmacy as well told me to try the products & I tried & it works. The price was P60 per bar.
But anyway, why not trying the real Papaya fruit-smash it & mix with lemon juice and it does really works especially with lemon(widely used for skin whitening/lightening). As for skin bleaching products other than soap I don't recommend it since most of those contain hydroquinone which might be harmful to our skin. Or how about using liquid milk & it is also good to soothes skin, cleanse & leave your skin so smooth. Also I remember when my brother brought this MILK soap from Japan & it was really effective too. I just happens to pick up that soap that he was giving some to our neighbors & relatives.
I am actually requesting my sister to send me some of those from the Philippines & I will get you posted for the right products.
desii Jul 31, 2004, 09:57 PM umm i would really like the name of da milk soap. the part that sucks is i dont kno any 1 in the Philippines soo i cannot get products from there. i kno not to bleach my skin. i just want to me a lighter tone. i feel comfortable that way. it would be kew if some 1 could send me a milk soap or som thing to my house? lol buh thats not gonna happen...... :'(
kristine Aug 26, 2004, 06:23 AM A safe and fast product for skin lightening is Godiva licorice skin whitening cream. It does not contain hydroquinone, only extract from licorice root which is claimed to give you result in as early as 7 days. You can buy online at www.godivaskincare.com and get free shipping. I received mine in 4 days, via FedEx. I got the ethnic whitening set and I am definitely seeing improvement, not in 7 days as the company claims, but after one month. Well, maybe I am darker than their test subjects.
desii Aug 28, 2004, 09:36 PM i cheaked out the web site and i dont kno which one to get? do i get the lotion or what? thanks
carol Sep 9, 2004, 04:48 AM Get the ethnic lightening set of godiva. It's complete and it works. Just don't forget to use sunblock. It's part of the package. A number of African American customers have tried godiva and have in fact given testimonials. Aside from www.godivaskincare.com, you can source from www.naturefina.com. I think Pristine at Ebay is also selling godiva.
desii Sep 16, 2004, 08:05 PM thats for the sites carol
i was thinkin of gettin stuff from www.naturefina.com.
have u bought any thing from there?
carol Sep 19, 2004, 06:57 AM I have not tried buying from www.naturefina.com, but since they ship from New Jersey, you should get your stuff shipped faster to California. Although I read in another forum that www.godivaskincare.com can deliver in 3 to 4 days, even if they ship from the Philippines. There is no ethnic whitening set in naturefina so just order the Godiva Fruit acid revitalizing cream, Godiva whitening cream and lotion, Godiva whitening soap, and the Green tea sunblock in tube, SPF25. For direction on how to use, you can check the ethnic whitening regimen in www.godivaskincare.com.
desii Sep 19, 2004, 10:43 AM yah. i think imma get it from http://www.naturefina.com/
there stuff is cheaper
godiva web site is hella expensive. u have to have a minimum order of atleast 20 bucks and if not ur shipin is 20 bucks. soo ill order from http://www.naturefina.com/ and tell you guys how the products work
thanks for giving me the site.
peace
carol Nov 9, 2004, 03:01 PM Hi Desii!

Nothing. :) .....
urmod4u Jan 5, 2005, 08:49 PM
SheJon Jan 6, 2005, 04:52 AM Nothing is wrong with dark skin, but if you want to even your skin, I see nothing wrong with that. :)
nikkicute Jan 6, 2005, 07:21 AM Nothing is wrong with dark skin, but if you want to even your skin, I see nothing wrong with that. :)
THAT'S IT!!! Even the skin out. I've seen some good looking dark people but you know what? Their skin is all ONE COLOR.
Me? Not!! My back, I think looks like a skunk. LOL!!
Dark but right down the middle its light.
The back of my legs are blotchy too.
I want my skin to be one color all over. My skin is too uneven right now. I want to even it out, summer will be here before you know it and I have not worn shorts in such a long time.
I am using the Fair and Flawless Facial Cream and Soap right now and it is evening out my complexion. The sides of my face were darker and my forehead too. Not cute.
But it's working. So far so good.
SheJon Jan 6, 2005, 07:34 AM So how long have you been using Fair and Flawless? Is it also lightening up the area's that were not dark? Is this the only product you have used?
desii Jan 6, 2005, 03:56 PM What is wrong with a dark skin? Tell me...
nothings wrong with dark skin. its just that i prefere to be a lighter TONE. thats it. you kno whats werid tho i seem lighter when im under a light. lol but when im the car or some thing i seem darker. sorry i havent been rplyin. i did buy godiva cream and lotion from the web site. i even got the soap. i only used it for about 2 weeks. didnt really see RESULTS. like a totaly notice able change. but i think it works if you keep at it. the lotion, however, dryed my skin a bit soo i stopped using that. i am going to start agian on the cream in a week or two.
SheJon Jan 7, 2005, 06:43 AM Desi
Did you buy the Starter Kit form Godiva or the Ethic package? I think you would have to use the creams continuously to see any type of result. I fell like you, I think there is nothing wrong with dark skin or brown skin in the least bit, however I personally would like for my skin to be a little lighter.
SheJon Jan 7, 2005, 06:49 AM Fair and Flawless is expensive. Has anyone tried their products?
desii Jan 7, 2005, 11:38 PM WOW. i thought the creams would be like 30 or 40 bucks when you said expenisve but gezz over 100? lol i dont wanna be light THAT BADLY. may be ill look into it when i get a job so i dont have to keep askin my mom to buy me skin whiteing creams. anways i wodner if your born DARK can you still lighten your skkin?
EbonyKisses Jan 8, 2005, 02:09 AM Desii,
all i have to say to you, and the rest of you people is that you all make me sick. that kind of thinking, is exaactly why we still have racism in this world? why is lighter skin better? its not. your miinds have been absolutely brainwashed to look down onn people with darker skin, but then you'll pretend like you don't. you can try to justify your ignorant minds by saying no, you just want even skin. but that's not what this forum was about. it was about lightening dark skin to make it whiter? you all seem to have issues with colour. this is the 21st century, but people's minds are still stuck in the ancient mindset. maybe you should stop and think about the bull you all seem to be typing up and posting on a public forum. maybe you should join the KKK or join the nazis as you all seem to have that gross mindset. you should love yourself, because even if you bleach your skin its not gonna make your problems dissappear. and people who use this stuff have a higher chance of contracting cancer and other skin diseases.
you'll might think i'm extreme, but really i'm not the one changing who i am because i'm insecure. i'm black and proud, so all you'll need to take a reality check for real.

SheJon Jan 10, 2005, 11:51 AM Now back to the subject at hand, Desii, are you still using the Godiva products? :)
drali77 Jan 10, 2005, 12:04 PM i think you have to go for a skin resurfacing / see a good skin consultant as well as use a sun block covering alpha as well as beta rays protection, think it might help but if you really want a change SKIN RESURFACING
desii Jan 10, 2005, 03:50 PM i really dont want to have a TOTATL change. about using godiva, i accuatly have had time to use any creams on my face, except for school. lol i use kiehl's ultra facial moisturizer woorks really good for dry skin but not tonneing. soo anyways imma start using the godiva face cream to nite and use it for a week and see if theres any change. what creams do you use shejon?
SheJon Jan 11, 2005, 01:50 PM Desii,
I have used Fair and Lovely products out of India, and they worked at first for brightening up you skin and clear up any blemishes. Their products does not contain any HydroQ... so it suppose to be natural. It really does not lighten the skin. Now their products was only $7 a tube. Now I would really like to try the Fair and Flawless, however if that is a real picture of that woman who used it on their website, then it may be worth it, but not for me and my pockets righht now. :)
desii Jan 17, 2005, 06:57 PM have u seen the photo gallery on the web site.. dang i dont kno it its reall. the lady went totaly differnt shade. i dont wanna get my shade that white. just a little lighter brown
i think i might order some thing form the web site. any suggestions?
nikkicute Jan 19, 2005, 05:07 AM So how long have you been using Fair and Flawless? Is it also lightening up the area's that were not dark? Is this the only product you have used?
I have been using it for about three months now. I have been using the Whitening Soap,Serum,Gel and Facial Whitener (open stock).
Open stock means the products right off the web, the custom made formula's you'll have to order after you send in your pictures etc.. the custom made formula's are much stronger then the open stock, that is why you have to fill out a form before buying them.
Yes it can lighten any area you put it on. I have been using it on my face so far and it has been working out great. I plan on saving up and getting the custom made formula's later.
I have used other skin lighteners but I wanted to use something natural. When you use hydroquninone for years it will start to have a rebound effect, meaning your skin will start to get darker instead of lighter. Hydroquinone is for short-term use not long term.
SheJon Jan 19, 2005, 05:32 AM Are open stock products cheaper than the custom made formulas?
nikkicute Jan 19, 2005, 05:35 AM have u seen the photo gallery on the web site.. dang i dont kno it its reall. the lady went totaly differnt shade. i dont wanna get my shade that white. just a little lighter brown
i think i might order some thing form the web site. any suggestions?
LOL!! Yeah she did get really light right? But again she used the custom made formula's which are really strong. Linda (the owner of Fair and Flawless) said you don't have to go that light. You can always stop at anytime.
Yeah the products are not cheap. You think the open stock is expensive? This person ordered her custom made creams and gels and spent $1033!! But you know what she is about 5 shades lighter now!! whoohooo!! She posted her pictures in the yahoo group brighterskin.
Resurfing is right!! The body gel (which can be used on the face but NOT the body cream) has AHA'S in it. I think glycolic acid in it I'm not sure. But I do know the Facial Whitener as Lactic Acid, which is a very gentle acid and has licorice extract in it, which is a natural lightener. The same licorice extract that is in the Godiva Products.
If you resurface and lighten it works even better. Look at this women. The Dr. gave her a peel and some lighteners and she does not even look like the same person!!
http://www.griffinmd.com/ls_page.html
This is the same Dr. seen on the T.V. show Extreme Makeover.
The main ingredient in Fair and Flawless is a new lightening ingredient called Sepitwhite.
This is a skincare line that also has that ingredient but does not cost as much as Fair and Flawless, maybe you can give them a try.

nikkicute Jan 19, 2005, 05:45 AM Are open stock products cheaper than the custom made formulas?
Yes custom made ones are VERY EXPENSIVE!! This is what Rosalia paid when she ordered the custom made creams in October and since then she has ordered twice!!
This is the e-mail Linda sent her and she posted for all of us to see.

I have been using the Godiva Lip Gloss Lightener for about 2 months and
NOTHING  I e-mailed them and told them it is not working since then they have come out with a new one and have added VitC which has been seen in some forms proven to lighten the skin.
So maybe this new one will work better. I just trying to lighten my upper lip a little.
I think the Godiva products work best on asian skin more than any other group.
desii Jan 20, 2005, 10:01 PM umm i wonder how dark you guys are. any one mind posting a pix. its up to you. i wanted to kno if you guys have like spots or is your hole body dark....

I have no clue how to post pictures and I don't want mine all over the net anyways.
I think I'm about the color of Star Jones of the view or Oprah(but she has been looking lighter lately so I'll say the old Oprah skin color)
The thing is I was so much lighter when I was little. I guess playing outside and being in the sun without sunblock made me darker.
Robyn!! Jan 21, 2005, 10:43 AM HEy who cares what skin your in ... all that matters is that you are you and it would probably makes you look beautifly the way it is i am v er y pale but i want for tans and i just didnt look good so if you do go a different colour dont beacause it probably willl look ulgy... Ummm let me see.
You ever seen that show " The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" with Will Smith??
You know the two actresses who played sisters?? One was darker than the other.
Her before looked like the darker sister and her after looked like the lighterskinned sister. She really lightened up a lot.
Please try again and see if you can see her pictures. She looks great.

They have just lowered their prices. The facial whitener used to be $68.00 now it is $49.97. That's not too bad.
Linda (the owner) said they are starting to get customers who are students and people on a budget so they lowered the price of some of their prducts and they just improved on the gel, it's 5X faster lightening now.
Even though on the website they offer items in 4oz for over a hundred bucks you can order some products in smaller sizes. I bought the gel in a 2oz size instead of the more expensive 4oz they sell on the website. All you do is have to call and ask. Maybe they will let you buy something in a tiny 1oz.
They do have a starter kit for $99.00. I forgot was was in it.
P.S. Desi?
You have to teach me how to post pictures!!
How did you do that? Start a new thread somewhere or maybe we can e-mail because I really want to learn how to do that. Thanks!!
How do I pm you so you can show me how?

PPK Jan 27, 2005, 12:21 AM Hey guys, im a new member.
I have the same problem as you guys...i seriously have dark skin. Lighter than the cricketer muralitharan but still dark. The only thing is that i used to have light ass skin when i was young, kinda like aishwarya's, but have gotten a lot darker. But below the neck line you can see the original skin colour. Is there a cheaper way to make my skin lighter?? If so please tell!

SheJon Jan 27, 2005, 06:41 AM Thank You, Thank You Desii! :)
what a dramatic change in the pictures you posted (know they are not you) but still they are amazing!!! I will be calling to check out the lower prices of the products.
Mystique and PPK, all I have to say is that after reading the hundreds of posting about this product from these ladies and men, I have decided that F& F is worth the try, now that is not to say the Godiva is not, I have not tried those products either, but i ahve not heard or seen anybody claiming that it gives the results that F&F gives.
mystique Jan 29, 2005, 03:22 AM I do apologize for the mistake... :( forgive me? :D
PPK Jan 29, 2005, 09:23 PM Thanks for the help guys :) , i'll definately try the sites. I'm counting on them to work!!

nikkicute Feb 5, 2005, 08:28 AM Hey everyone, Im new. I am also a really dark skin male (15 yrs old). I just want to know has anyone seen any HUGE results by using Godiva??? IF so, how long did it take, and how dark are you?? I really want to try there products, but i dont want to waste my money.
I have no idea. I've heard it worked on asian skin the best.
But they do have a testimonial from a black female saying it worked for her.
I know you don't want to waste your money but when it comes to skin creams no one cream is going to work for EVERYBODY.
I'd say give Godiva a chance, just buy the soap and the cream for the face, that should not cost much. And see if there are any changes in the first month.
ladyandjan Mar 6, 2005, 07:14 PM Anyone ever used Lady Marchessie (mark kess e) products? They are found at Marshall Fields, Nordstrom's, maybe Lord & Taylor. Asked a clerk there what she's used for her face which was so flawless and translucent-perfect skin and she used the above. Anyone else use these products?
lotti Mar 14, 2005, 08:21 AM Hi everyone,
my name is Lotti and I am from italy, it is in the heart of europa and I have a big problem with my dark skin. Until now (over 10 years) I have tried several products like hydrochinon-, kojak acid-, obagie creams and stuff like this without any success! Well I don`t know much of "Godiva" but I think it`s the same stuff like all the products that I have already used. I even had painful peelings (with phenol-/fruite- acid) and expensive laser treatments without any positiv result! (my skin even became darker!!) I always used the highest dose of sunblocker and avoid the sun as much as possible. But my skin don`t ligthened up. Now (since 1,5 month) I am using L-glutathion pills, which should have a skin whitening side effect. May it will help me?
Have a nice day!
LOTTI
mateo_salta Mar 14, 2005, 09:05 AM DDT (deep dark tan) is terminal. there are no known cures. good luck if you have it
lotti Mar 15, 2005, 11:45 AM Hi mateo salta,
Well, it`s nice for you that you are interested in this web-side. But you don`t have anything (experience, news) to report!!
Your DDT (=deep dark tan), a technical term, (are you a Dr. dermatologist - I don`t think so) I know only in combination with self-bronzer. It`s something different!
Well it`s correct that the most products ( I think nearly all ) like cream, soaps and treatments like peeling and laser will not help anyone by lightening up the skin. :o This is I think even the reason for this side, to tell other persons about your own experience. So that they can save their money and a bad, painful waste of time. It is also right that L-Glutathione pills (the mean componete of whitening pills, you can get it in every chemist`s shop -together with vit. C) wasn`t developed wasn`t developed for lightening up skin. But in higher doses (500mg/day) and after a longer term of using it they maybe will help. I don`t know now (I am using l-glutathion together with vit C. now since 1,5 month) but I will try it on my own! If it works it`s a side effect, which happens often with products in the pharma industry. Have a nice day! LOTTI
blackandbeautiful Mar 17, 2005, 09:15 PM Tonight I have learned alot as i perused the internet and read debates on light vs. dark skin. Yes the media promotes light skin in the black community, and yes it is considered by most as more beautiful. But all we are trying to do is get closer to white with our straight hair and lighter skin. I am dissapointed and nearly crying because my people have been so bruised as to want to literally lighten their skin, and not even notice what they are truly doing. People are saying that "I have nothing against dark skin..." So that's why you want the lighter color....riite...cuz that makes a lot of sense. Look I am not here to criticize you, because I am a dark skinned sister as well and I know how it feels to look on t.v. and see Alicia Keys and Beyonce be considered the most beautiful blacks. I am a girl that wears locs, and I know how it feels to be looked down upon because I proudly wear the hair God gave me. But please brothers and sisters don't let the white man and the mentality they want us to have about ourselves rule you. You are beautiful, dark, light, and even discolored! Because God made you that way, whoever your God is...he made you that way. I can only hope u process what I say. THAT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. WHO IS THE MEDIA TO SAY WHAT BEAUTIFUL IS AND ISN'T?! WHO IS TO SAY THAT SOME STUPID KIDS CAN SAY WHAT BEAUTIFUL IS AND ISN'T?! Please hear me...and comprehend me. I don't mean to hurt you, because I know how it feels. Right now I am wrestling with the idea of being ugly because of my skin...and your wanting to lighten your skin has helped to change my viewpoint on it. I understand now more than ever that I am okay, and that so is dark skin, and that the media is getting to young people making us ashamed of who we are. I understand that I cannot get caught up in the whirlwind of today's culture. I AM BLACK AND I AM DARK AND I AM BEAUTIFUL! THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME NOTICE THAT....I HOPE THAT YOU CAN NOTICE THAT FOR YOURSELVES ONE DAY AS WELL......
babygirllily7 Mar 23, 2005, 12:36 PM i started working at six flags and im in the sun all day so i got a tan but i really dont like the way it came out i was wondering if these products mentioned could work on tans

theres no shame on having dark skin, what are you a racist or something :D you should be proud when they tell that your dark like chocolate coz chocolates are supposed to be sweet. :)
desii Mar 27, 2005, 11:42 AM okay okay. i think people on this site are TOTALY getting me wrong... when i say dark skin i dont mean it in a racist term ( i should have expressed that earlyer) what i mean is, if you look at my arms full length you see i have a really noticable tan line. my forarmes go from dark color up to a LIGHT color. i dont like that. and it looks very odd.... same goes with my neck and face. i wanted to find something that would change that.... not change my skin color totaly and be a new person... i think that most people here that want to find some a cream to help lightin there skin beacuse they used to be lighter as a child or might have the problem i have...
what i dont get about me is in some situtations when i lookin the mirror i seem to have fair skin, and a good tone no tane lines. as i move a way from the light, my skin and tane lines tend to come out more...
i hope you guys understand what i mean. AND IN NO WAY AM I TRYING TO BE RACIEST AND I AM VERY SORRY IF I HAVE OFFENDED ANY ONE IN ANYWAY....
desii Mar 27, 2005, 12:51 PM aite i took some pictures of what i mean to help explain...
i blacked out my face as much as possbile.
notice my neck and my chest.

blackandbeautiful Mar 27, 2005, 01:06 PM Okay, I wasn't trying to say you were racist. It is just some ppl want to have lighter skin. I was a lil lighter as a child as well. But I don't want 2 go back. All I am saying is we all naturally change overtime. Be proud of your change...it is okay 2 get darker or lighter. It's natural. And as 4 u Desii. I understand ure situation its just discoloration. I understand that u want 2 even it out.

Star_Girl_123 Apr 20, 2005, 12:44 AM Hi
Have to say I agree with Viking.
Why would you want to change the colour of your skin, it sounds like a wonderful colour! If people around you dont like it, they're not worth your time.
It's whats on the inside that counts, and I hope for your sake that you realise that sooner rather than later.
I am truly sick of society making people feel as if they way they are is not ok, and they have to physically or chemically alter themselves. It's bullshit.
Be proud!
shaista Apr 20, 2005, 07:36 AM Hi,
I need help with skin whitening. Has anyone tried the skin whitening report. Has anyone got it? Does it have anything better and natural?

i dont think any of us said that we werent proud. but when your skin is really discolored like mine, its sort of hard to be proud of that. like i said before we arnt chaning our race or anything, if thats what u think we were trying to do. trust me i kno what you mean. u can cheak out my other post and see what i wanted to change. the disscolor from my face to my neck to my chest.... simple.... and yes good point, that bull shit that society is throwing at us saying lighter is better, same can be said about skinny people. its all bulll shit. respect your self the way you are. but who doesnt change the little stuff that helps them smile when there out and give them confedince
^hope that makes sense

Skinwhite Apr 27, 2005, 02:12 PM Shasta, don't waste your money on the skin lightening report - everything on there is available on the below forum as well as on the internet.
I'm originally from Pakistan, and whitening the skin is a big deal there. It's not about being racist at all, it's just one of those things where opposite is more attractive. Why do americans want to tan? Why do women want to wear makeup and color their hair? Why can't they be happy with what they have and accept it? Easy to say, I guess - but we must think about changes we make to our appearance constantly eventhough we are well adjusted, mentally happy, confident people. In Pakistan we all have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, and generally brown skin. So naturally, those that are lighter will receive more attention and praise. Look at the film industry from India and Pakistan and you will see.
There's a skin lightening forum that has helped me find safe ways to lighten my skin, not through harsh ingredients like hydroquinone, mercury, steroids, or benoquin. I use a gentle indian soap called Fairglow. Learn about better ingredients like licorice, arbutin, kojic acid, vitamin c, and retin A.
I live in America now and seem to be alone in my quest, since here everyone loves to tan. This group helps me with my goals and I don't feel like the only one here that wants to lighten or whiten my skin!!!

desii May 6, 2005, 03:46 PM hi, im very sorry to hear that ur friend is depressed. i keep hearing that FAIR AND FLAWLESS should work. cheak out there web site. www.fairandflawless.com i hope that helps out
best of luck to u and ur friend just let us know if theres anything eles
Skinwhite May 10, 2005, 09:32 PM  those prices, are they kidding me????????? i'd rather by obagi, at least it's at my derm's office.
desii May 10, 2005, 09:56 PM i heard you can get smaller sizes by request. and thats cheaper. soo cheak it out
peace
Skinwhite May 11, 2005, 06:32 AM Smaller won't help - it's already a small amount at only 4 ounces. It's not a question of affordability - but that small of a jar and that amount- i might as well pay for a reputable quality product. skin lightening is not just one time - i would have to keep doing it - not worth paying so much for a few wk supply from a no name place on the internet. I'm going to ask my derm what she thinks or if she's heard of it.
kismet May 17, 2005, 01:05 AM You should post your face. I bet you're cute. ;)
sweetrose May 18, 2005, 07:00 AM Hi everyone,
I noticed that you guys were talking about Fair and Flawless. Have you guys checked their customer service. It's 0. They have a toll free number and are really rude. They don't even e-mail you a confirmation receipt or anything. Their products are also not very practical or economical. Honestly, the $70 whitening serum has the consistency of err...water! If you really want to spend that kind of money (for a 1oz bottle), you might want to try the Blanc expert line by Lancome. It's not soled in the US Lancome, but Lancome Canada, China, and ther countries have it. You just go on www.lancome.com and you can click Canada english and type in the word blanc. It's from a reputable company and you get more for your money. Also, the science behind the cosmetics are dependable, and most importantly it works.
ninashikin May 18, 2005, 03:22 PM Hi guys
Am kind of new to these pills but have recently ordered the swiis pills from skinbleaching.net. Has anyone tried it? Didn't it work? Are there any side effects? Let me know please :)
Skinwhite May 18, 2005, 10:44 PM I heard they don't work. sorry :(
i read somewhere they sell a cream with it - that works - but not the pills.
Mags69 May 20, 2005, 10:42 PM I want to share my experience with you, I'm Asian, fair skin but there are some parts of my body that needs whitening. I tried Alpha Hydroxy, Godiva Licorice Skin Whitening Package. The first one, damage my skin since it has no sun block, that's why i used the Godiva, same thing, didn't help at all. Until I tried Magic Cream by Amira, it's a bit pricey for $40 a pop, but let me tell ya, this one has sunblock and SPF 15, that I don't need to worry that the cream will burn my skin under the sun. THe best thing is I don't need to wait for a long time to see visible result, it took me only 5 days to see dramatic results. And there's a bonus, it says there on their Ad that you can use it on your pubic and groin area, and so I did. Oh my lord, the result is jsut unbelievable, now I can pose in a porn site if I want to, just kidding i will never go that far or my husband will kill me. The site was also referred to me by a friend it's http://www.funkymommy.net
It's a bit pricey though but it's all worth it.
hey...i need some help with my skin. i have really dark skin. i dont think i do because when i look in the mirror and i see a light person. lol but people tell me i am DARK lyke chocolate. soo is there any cream or soap or SOEMTHING any thing at all i can do to be lighter. i do some times spend time in the sun and the cream i current use has vitamin b3 and natrual milk protien so is that good or what should i use... thanks a bunch :)

kismet May 30, 2005, 03:55 AM hey, for anyone who cares godiva really works! at least the lip gloss does! in just days my lips are so soft, pink and supple. i want to make out with myself all the time now lol. i plan on using it on a permanent basis! as for the godiva stuff for the face and body, that i don't know about. anyone care to share their experience? but the lip gloss is amazing! :D btw, for those of you who are just trying to achieve an even skin tone (ie desii), why not go darker instead of lighter? you can use fake bake like kelly rippa. i like that as well!
kkasey1982 Jun 4, 2005, 11:08 PM hey DymePiece, i made a topic that has some results I got with different creams. it is here:
http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/showthread.php?t=10037
kkasey1982 Jun 4, 2005, 11:09 PM also i forgot to mention, you can try to get some info from this site:

Pale White Skin Jun 6, 2005, 08:58 PM I'm new here.. the names Daniel. I was curious if anyone knew about the Papaya juice that whitens the skin. Do you have to leave it on for a couple of minutes or wash it off after you apply it to the skin? Also, do they sell it around the California area in San Diego? Thank you!
Pale White Skin Jun 6, 2005, 09:00 PM Not juice.. I meant soap! The whitening soap that is =) also, is it for the face and body? How long till I notice the effect? I WANT! hehe
lonelie76 Jun 9, 2005, 11:48 AM hey...i need some help with my skin. i have really dark skin. i dont think i do because when i look in the mirror and i see a light person. lol but people tell me i am DARK lyke chocolate. soo is there any cream or soap or SOEMTHING any thing at all i can do to be lighter. i do some times spend time in the sun and the cream i current use has vitamin b3 and natrual milk protien so is that good or what should i use... thanks a bunch :)

emporor008 Jun 11, 2005, 05:33 PM I personally use a skin cream from Fred Palmer it works like a dream lol.
Pale White Skin Jun 12, 2005, 12:50 AM How long have you been using the Fred Palmer whitening cream for and are you allowed to use it for the face and body or just a certain body part like the face?
askapina Jun 12, 2005, 05:39 PM got any before n after pics?
Pale White Skin Jun 12, 2005, 06:57 PM Who emporor008? YES! Good idea.. show us your before and after pictures when using Fred Palmer's brand skin bleaching cweam :) and tell us if it's for the face and entire body.. and how long it'll take to whiten the skin!! I'm not that dark, I'm sort of fair but still have a tan on my entire body! Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!
Pale White Skin Jun 20, 2005, 02:08 PM I just bought some Likas Papaya Whitening soap and the lady says it takes months to see results. Is this true? If any of you know anything about this product of soap let me know. Do you use it like any other soap and wash it off after applying or do you have to leave it on for several minutes while you're in the shower??? thanx
Pale White Skin Jun 22, 2005, 02:59 PM No but none of the products out there like the skin bleaching creams will be effective or they'll probably just darken my skin. All of them say put on a specific spot.. it's like I'm not able to use the skin bleaching creams for my entire body or else it might form spots on parts of my body. With the papaya soap I'm able to lighten my entire skin, and if there's anything else out there that does so.. then let me know.. otherwise I don't know any other product that works besides the papaya soap which I hear works so I'm not sure  and if you know any product that's only a one application time.. then let me know because I don't want to wait weeks or months before I see any results haha if there's anything out there!!!
kkasey1982 Jun 22, 2005, 03:26 PM you can try the whiterskin cream from www.whiterskin.com. I got really awesome results from it. Im a member of the yahoo skin lightening forum and you can cehck out my before/after pics. Peopel have been telling me its made a huge difference. The pics are on the group at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/brighterskin/
I ran out of my sample, but I will be ordering some soon as they release it.
Pale White Skin Jun 22, 2005, 03:34 PM Ok Spyyder have you tried the papaya soap before? How long have you used it for and why do you think it wouldn't work?
Pale White Skin Jun 24, 2005, 02:47 AM Spyyder, maybe it's because you didn't get the one for skin whitening, that's probably why? I bought the Likas soap that said to be really good if used daily while you shower so I don't know! I hope it works in weeks or months..
Bett345 Jun 24, 2005, 08:47 AM Does the orginal Likas papaya skin whitening soap really work and how long does it take?
Pale White Skin Jun 24, 2005, 01:14 PM That's what I want to know haha because I bought mine from the asian market a couple of days ago and this is what it looks like:
http://www.mjy.jp/import/papaya.html
I don't know if it works because I've only been using it for days so that's why I want to make sure that I'll be satisfied if I continue use or if I should just get rid of it and try something else. I want my entire body to be white including private parts haha.. but the face and body as well not just for the face or some dark areas. I'm tan, but not too tan.. but if it's possible with the soap then I'll continue the use of it. So far my hands are all dried up because of the soap and I'm peeling.. does it mean it's working? Maybe I need to give it some time?
alphawolfx Jul 13, 2005, 12:45 PM am i the only one who finds it ironic that darker people are trying to get whiter, while lighter-skinned people are trying to get a tan?
i don't think it's a matter of racism... i have seen and been attracted to all types of girls, and i think i have a fair set of standards when it comes to that...
i think everyone feels occaisionally that they would look a lot better with a different shade of skin color... my girlfriend looks totally hot when she has a tan, and is already pretty to begin with.... i look bad when i get darker (i'm brown-skinned) but i am totally hot when i've stayed out of the sun for a while...
it's just a matter of preference, no need to come down on the people who want to adjust their skin color... or if you do, at least be fair and go on tanning forums and tell them that they're beutiful on the inside and why would they want to change their skin color... bla bla bla
Pale White Skin Jul 13, 2005, 03:39 PM Does any one know where to buy the Papaya Whitening Peeling Cream in the San Diego area???!??!?!?!?! I live in El Cajon and I was curious if they have any asian markets near El Cajon or any where in San Diego where I can buy the peeling cream
THANKS!

sakamoko Jul 15, 2005, 08:15 PM I tried some lighteners that really didnt do m,uch but irritate the crap out of my skin and made my lips get these wierd bumps on them./ If you really want something that works you HAVE to go to a dermatologist, period. They can do serious things like prescribe creams that will bleach your skin slowly, offer microdermabrasion and also make sure that you dont end up looking like a checkerboard or zebra. If you have melasma or a few darker spots than you would like, i still recommend going to the dermatologist as all this nonsense about papaya soap and fair and flawless garbage is just that:nonsense and garbage. stay out of the sun as well, that always helps. wear a wide brim hat and use sunblock under your make up every day even if you are black, SPF15 and higher can work wonders. Its not the color of the skin that makes you attractive, it is the condition of your skin that makes you glow, also, remember try playing with your hair color here and there add a few highlights and layers cause sometimes that really brings out other features and actually compliment your skin whether its fair, peaches and cream pink, beige, medium reddish or dark olive or brown or black!! be good to your skin! moisturize and exfoliate! drink lots of water and buy a freakin hat!remmeber sunblock every day no matter how tan you are! 30 years from now you will thank me!!!
sherl Jul 24, 2005, 02:32 PM Hey guys, I was looking for a product that would safely lighten my skin a few shades. I'm glad i stumbled on this forum. But i also wanted to let you guys know that I had previously ordered Godiva's whitening products. I bought their whitneing cream, sunblock, underam whitening, whitening lotion and whitening soaps. My boyfriend ordered it for me as a gift ( because of my constant nagging). But two days after I received it and began using the products , my boyfriend received a phone call from some supervisor at the postal service who oversees the receipt of packages from overseas. He called to inform my boyfriend, that Godiva products have
Not been regulated by the FDA in USA, and that I should not use any of their products. They do not specifically explain how they make and package their products and there for cannot be regulated by the FDA. The man also told my boyfriend that their products may contain harmful ingredients.
I'm sure that many of you have already bought and tried it, but to be on the safe side, don't purchase any more.
I also wanted to let you guys know , that my mother had once told me that when she was younger the back of her neck was about three shades darker than her face. So one day her aunt, used a laundry soap called "sunlight soap" on her neck . With continued use, the back of her neck lightened.
I had my mom pick up a few of these soaps just to try out. It has a pretty strong smell. When i used it on my hand and feet, i noticed an difference immediately. Next i tried it on my face, however, it gave me pimples. I'm not sure what the ingredients are, but I have sneaky suspicion that its BLEACH. I wouldn't recommend it, but if your just going to use it on your feet or maybe on your hand. Then try it at your own discretion.
unis Jul 24, 2005, 03:21 PM GODIVA is SAFE. it is using all natural product... Licorice is even edible. and are you sure that the supervisor of the postal service has enough proven proof that GODIVA is not safe? and for your information... shipments of products passes through the CUSTOM and it is checked very well that IF there is any harmful ingredients that the product contain the product will not be delivered to the customer at all and will just be informed about it... as you have mentioned you have already used the product for 2 days already...

sherl Jul 24, 2005, 04:46 PM Hey..in reponse to your response. I don't think the guy at the postal service, was just calling as a joke. Now i don't know if this is protcol for them, and they are supposed to inform people, or if he just happen to know about it and decided to inform me. I don't think he would have informed me, if he didn't honestly think there was a problem with the product. Yeah i tried it for two days, and i stopped it. But there was no prolonged use. You don't know what this stuff will do you a few years down the line, like skin damage or worse, skin cancer. And just because something is natural, it doesn't automatically make it safe. I bet you never even heard of the use of licorce before you went onto their website. Another thing i noticed, when i received their package, they also mailed along a brochure with "testimonies", with the pictures of the people and there was one testimony of a woman from some Arab country, praising the product. Only guess what, the picture they used is of an Indian Actress with a different name. Did they honestly think , no one would notice?? You can't believe everything on the internet, people will post whatever they want, as long as they can make business. Nothing on the internet is regulated.
I only posted my comment to make you guys aware of this stuff. Ultimately its your choice and your health.
unis Jul 24, 2005, 05:25 PM hello... well when it comes to BFAD here in the Philippines... it is the safest whitening product here... so i think i would take the word of the expert other than the word of a guy from the post office...
the product is well tested and well basically it doesnt have any bad effects in the long run...
and that woman on the testimonial, do you sure know her? because she has been here actually to promote the product :p and i certainly believe that they could not just use her pic to make a testimonial because they are a big company actually that if they want can pay even michael jackson to say that they have used GODIVA...
and i have heared about licorice long time ago... even my grandma recommend it to me... we even have a plant at our backyard because we use it in some of our recipes but not to whiten the soup. :P
sherl Jul 24, 2005, 06:41 PM Yeah I'm certain I know who she is. I watch plenty of Indian movies to know and the name they used to refer to her, is NOT her. Her name is Rani Mukerji. Shes a famous actress in India. I doubt she was there to promote Godiva.
I don't live in the Philipines, so I'll go by what the American Goverment regulates and according to the FDA here, its has not been approved.
Whatever the claim... It's your own choice, use at at your own discretion.
ranieri Jul 25, 2005, 12:16 AM dear desii look back at what you posted. You see yourself in the mirror. You like what you see! These others you speak of with their so called opinions, welllll thats just it. its an opinion and you know everybodys got one. Dont take these so called well wishers at their word. Who cares what they think. Why is it bugging them so? apparently its no bother to you. So why let it bug you. And why are they so hung up on the color of your skin? Why is that even an issue or a topic? Are they trying to cut you down. Are they trying to make you feel bad? so that maybe they feel superior. Unfortunately, sometimes even so called friends dont have our best interest at heart. peace ranieri
Yorkshire444 Jul 29, 2005, 01:54 PM Hii. I'm interested in modeling and I have very very dark black skin that doesn't show up well on camera (and I don't have the height required for runway), so I thought about lightening my skin a few shades and evening it out so that it is one, healthy tone. I've been lurking around the board and it seems people have mixed opinions about Godiva products. Has anyone actually used them?
Also are there any people here who have gotten attitude from people who think they're "trying to be white"? I'm afraid this is what my family will think.
Pale White Skin Jul 29, 2005, 05:18 PM I've been using it for over a month now and I still haven't seen any results. I'm using the original Likas soap (( orange soap bar )) and I've used over 5 bars. I wash my body 3 times in a day because I'm so obsessed with white skin and I'm waiting patiently to see some results, but still no luck! :( My family already knows that I've been obsessed with white skin and I've gone to so many dermatologists and it's bullshit because they never give me any information. Nor do they help me. It's the same ole thing. They tell me there's nothing out there that will whiten my entire body. They said unless I have the same problem as Michael Jackson, (( Vitiligo supposedly )) then no procedure can be done. I think it's a load of crap and right now I'm willing to continue and try the Likas soap bar. If there's any other soaps out there that work faster and work accurately.. name some! Again, I'm not that dark so I'm hoping to see something sometime soon! How about the Papaya Peeling Cream? Where would they sell that in San Diego (( in El Cajon )) ... does anyone know in that area of any markets in San Diego? Thanks again!
unis Jul 29, 2005, 05:19 PM i am using the GODIVA product and it is safe... i believe that it wont be BFAD-PHILIPPINES approved if it is not safe at all... also i have been having shipments of these products in U.S. and as we all know the U.S. Custom is very meticulous when it comes to cosmetics that i goes under FDA screening and it wont be sent out to the recepient or my clients if it is not safe at all... so basically i am not really sure where the guy from the post office get the alligation that GODIVA isnt safe... he doesnt even have any proof at all but just gossips maybe... but then... it the person who posted the post is right... it is for us who to believe or not because it is our skin our body... and she choose to believe the guy from the post office... but as far as i am concern... i believe the BFAD and FDA and i am continue using it... ihave been using it for almost a year now... and it have great results for me...
when it comes to lightening the skin... i am not that very dark... i am a filipino and my complexion is fair but i wanted to become fairer and SOME of my family members is like not agreeing about it while the rest has no say about it... but for me... it is not bad if you want to make your self more nice... we have our own basis of what beautiful is and we make ourself on what we believe is beautiful... also it is our body, our skin, mindi their own body and mind their own skin... besides we just want it to be lighter in some shades not completely transform our skin like what michael jackson did... we just want to make our self more presentable as we define it and we want to say to ourself that hey! i look nice when we look at the mirror rather than looking at the mirror and sigh because we dont look like how we wanted to be... we just want to bust our confidence...
they even sometimes say to me that i should be happy on what God has given me but my opinion to this is that God did not created me with 10 shades of skin on my body... so i am just making it in one shade as to how it is when i was born because it is what God has given us... then God has given us the knowledge on how to improve ourselves so why not us it... i am sure that God wants us beutifying what he has given us...
i am just stating what i believe and i am not contradicting what others stand for... i just want to say what i stand and has no other intentions but to give my point of view... :D
unis Jul 29, 2005, 05:25 PM have you tried the GREEN papaya soap... it works better... and when it comes to likas papaya soap... i have used it and i i have seen results after i used 6to 8 bars of soap and you need to moisturize with it because it make my skin dry... use papaya whitening lotion too if you like... and BTW Godiva, works well with my skin... :)

About the green papaya soap.. what's the green one called? I might buy the green one.
PS How many green ones should I buy and how many original Lika soap bars should I buy? What's the papaya lotion called?
Thanks! :)
unis Jul 29, 2005, 05:46 PM well, when i see results in gree papaya it only take me like 3 soaps or 4... im not really pretty sure because i dont count... and i have stopped using it already... it is said that gree papaya soap works better because the concentration of papain (not sure of the spelling) is higher on gree papaya than the orange one...
we have here actually so many papaya bsed whitening line... like KISSA, bioderm, likas, mena, like tons of them... maybe you can get a papaya lotion to where you will get the green papaya soap or where you are getting the likas papaya soap because as far as i know LIKAS is a product of the philippines os then maybe they got the lotion there too... if not look for some filipino stores and maybe they got it there...
Maybe use the BIOLINK green papaya soap and lotion... and then buy number of bars until you get the results you wanted... BTW how many shades of skin do you want to lighten?
have you tried bleaching...?
Pale White Skin Aug 1, 2005, 08:12 PM So Biolink papaya works the best you think? I bought 6 bars and I also bought a jar of the biolink face cream so hopefully it helps out. I couldn't find any Biolink whitening cream lotion, but should I still use some type of sunblock after I shower?

i havent tried every papaya soap in the market but biolink works cool...i think it works faster than other brands so far so what i have used before... but if its biolink try other papaya lotions but whatever lotion you use if it doenst come with sunblock... apply some...
Pale White Skin Aug 2, 2005, 12:46 AM Thanks so much! Also, my skin gets dry so much when I come out of the shower. Like 2 minutes after.. especially my chest and arms. Would it matter if I leave it dry or not? Like if I have no place to go and just sit home.. can I leave my skin dry as it is? Thanks again! :)
desii Aug 2, 2005, 01:17 AM when i used the soap i bought from godiva my skin was geting dry too. just apply some lotion after you take a shower.. for me a few days of doing that it didnt get dry any more... soo try that out...
unis Aug 2, 2005, 01:27 AM you should moisturize... even if you are just in your house because we should really take good care of our skin so that it would be healthy still in the long run...
Pale White Skin Aug 3, 2005, 08:41 PM Yeah, I shower twice in a day haha I guess I do so because I want to see the results quickly. I've almost finished the first bar of soap and I wash twice just to see faster results so I hope it helps! Still noticing dry skin but I'm applying spf 30 (( Banana Boat/with Aloe Vera & Vitamin E )) so hopefully that helps =D
desii Aug 3, 2005, 09:00 PM well at night since you dont need the spf try using some lotion...
Pale White Skin Aug 4, 2005, 02:11 AM What type of lotion? Know any good brands? Also, this is to Unis since you've used the Biolink green papaya soap, how many shades lighter will my skin get when I use 4-6 bars of the soap? Do you have before and after pictures of yourself when using the Biolink soap? Thanks :)

see if you can get any whitening lotion maybe... there are lotions that got SPF and there are those that doesnt... use whitening lotion when you got no where to go but inside your house then with SPF when you go out... maybe you get 1 or 2 shades lighter in 1 and half month maybe but i dont have any pic i did not knew some will be asking it :D
Pale White Skin Aug 4, 2005, 02:29 AM You think I'll be able to get more than 1-2 shades lighter? Also, do you think I'll be able to get lighter in less than a month or two if I use it often? (( I have 8 total bars and I finished one.. so now I have 7 ))
unis Aug 4, 2005, 04:31 AM You think I'll be able to get more than 1-2 shades lighter? Also, do you think I'll be able to get lighter in less than a month or two if I use it often? (( I have 8 total bars and I finished one.. so now I have 7 ))
i think yes if you use it continuosly but not within a month or two... i think if you want it faster you should try bleaching yourself with bleaching powders and use whitening lotion because the soap alone would not work that fast...
i think you should just bath yourself 2x because always bathing may make your skin dry... just be patient or use etta's maybe... that so far is the whitening powder i know.. hehe and use whitening lotion...
Pale White Skin Aug 4, 2005, 02:16 PM and whitening lotion? do you know a good name brand that I can buy?
desii Aug 4, 2005, 02:25 PM oh idk about bleaching... might damage your skin
for lotion i use nieva or khiels brand... but any lotion its self is ggoing to be good... but i dont think youll get lighter FAST by just using SOAP. try using some whiteing lotion. i use godiva... i think that works good, cheap too. i heard fair and flawless 5x is suppose to be GOOD. but thats 150 bucks.
Pale White Skin Aug 4, 2005, 02:33 PM do they sell the godiva lotion anywhere in the 619 area in san diego?
desii Aug 4, 2005, 03:03 PM wow you live close to me.. 714 [=

Pale White Skin Aug 4, 2005, 04:07 PM Haha awesome! They are also selling it on ebay but which one should I get? What's it called?
desii Aug 4, 2005, 04:31 PM what did you type in for ebay? i couldnt find anything

http://godivaskincare.com/shopping/customer/product.php?productid=63&cat=7&page=2
i only applied it onces a day right before i went to bed, and i been staying away from the sun latly..
unis Aug 4, 2005, 05:00 PM Haha awesome! They are also selling it on ebay but which one should I get? What's it called?
you can get godiva to me too... :D and other godiva products... hehehe... though i think you should get the one with licorice...
unis Aug 7, 2005, 03:24 PM have anyone tried kojic soap? i think its good sells only for US$2 here. anyone who got comments on this?
Pale White Skin Aug 10, 2005, 05:21 AM when using the biolink green papaya soap.. i find that it irritates my skin. not too much though, but it turns red when i come out of the shower and goes away within 10-15 minutes. i wash 3x a day so i was wondering if this is normal?
unis Aug 10, 2005, 05:31 AM when using the biolink green papaya soap.. i find that it irritates my skin. not too much though, but it turns red when i come out of the shower and goes away within 10-15 minutes. i wash 3x a day so i was wondering if this is normal?
havent experienced that... i also take a bath 2-3 times a day, maybe the product is not for you... maybe stop using it because we dont want to worsen the situation if that keep on occurring... i am sure there is one product that will surely give you great results...
on my part i am using amira magic soap now and its peeling my skin... taking the dark skin out to reveal whiter skin benmeath... before i got some rashed things at my right arm just a little maybe around 10-12 dots on one corner but i continued using it and then after 4 days of using it no longer come out...
well this is on my part... have you tried this soap? its great too... then after this i will be using the kojic soap... this is faster than papaya soaps...

Pale White Skin Aug 10, 2005, 04:35 PM how much is the amira magic soap? also, do they sell it at asian markets, and how fast would I find results if i use this soap?
unis Aug 10, 2005, 04:49 PM how much is the amira magic soap? also, do they sell it at asian markets, and how fast would I find results if i use this soap?
i dont know if they sell it on asian stores, try locating someone selling amira magic cream in your place... its cost US$7... actually i am selling it :D , for me my skin started to have peeling on my 2nd to 3rd day of using the soap, so i put moisturizing lotion liberally so it wont make my skin dry even if they are peeling... its great if you dont mind your skin peeling ... its not actually peeling in a way that it is flaking out... you will see great peeling when you are scrubbing during bath :D
Pale White Skin Aug 11, 2005, 02:39 AM Unis, how much are you selling the soap for. also 7 dollars? i might buy one or two then. give me your email address if you have one for msn, hotmail, yahoo.. etc and we'll see because i'm curious. if you say it's better and faster than the biolink papaya soap then it's worth a try :)
unis Aug 11, 2005, 02:44 AM yeah 7 too :) my email is
amiramagiccream@<hidden>
Pale White Skin Aug 13, 2005, 03:41 AM this is going to sound a bit stupid, but when using the biolink papaya soap should i scrub with a washing cloth or just by hand? i figure it doesn't matter.. either way, right?
unis Aug 13, 2005, 03:46 AM i think whatever you want it... sometimes when i bath i just use my hands to lather the soap... sometimes i use a washing cloth... sometimes i even use a pumice hehe... so its not actually how you scrub... its how the ingredients of the soap work in your skin :)
is the irritation you are saying no longer appearing?
Pale White Skin Aug 14, 2005, 01:37 AM nah, the irritation went away. i guess my skin had to adjust, and i'm beginning to use sunblock twice in a day so i think that's probably helping out. i've used up 4 soap bars of the green biolink papaya.. but nothing yet. i guess it takes a little more time like people have said?
desii Aug 14, 2005, 04:03 PM umm i still sort of think soap isnt going to help as much as a cream would. only beacuse if you think about it. the soap is being washed of and a cream would jsut be absorbed. i still think soap DOES play a factor. but cant do with a cream. still look into finding one
good luck
Pale White Skin Aug 15, 2005, 07:52 PM Yeah it takes a couple of months before you notice any results. umm, do asian markets sell any whitening creams? (( i would think they might because they have the whitening soaps.. but i'm not sure. just wanted to know if they would ))
unis Aug 15, 2005, 07:56 PM i think most asians store carry whitening lotions more than whitening cream... i think they seldom sell whitening cream but some do :) hehe... i knew this because some asian store purchase with us their products :D
mimi888 Aug 16, 2005, 12:22 AM hi, i have dark skin and i was wondering if there's a way to not necessarily to make it lighter but appear somehow brighter..perhaps golden...
often in pictures i'm the only one whose face you can't see clearly..it looks bland...dark..esp if there's not good lighting..haha...so i guess i'm looking for skin brightening product rather than skin lightening..
i actually tried fair and lovely..it worked to un-tan my skin but with continued use i ended up with a dull complexion...almost greyish..hard to explain...
also, i actually have freckles (not too noticable on my arms..black dots) on the side opposite to my palm..and from far away it makes my arms look darker..
i'm east-indian...
Pale White Skin Aug 17, 2005, 07:34 PM I'm going to visit my local asian market in a week or so. does anyone know any other soaps besides the biolink papaya soap and the amira magic soap? i just want fast results and i might buy some whitening lotion or cream. which do you prefer? any suggestions? (( for soaps and creams/lotions )) thanks guys :)
zuzu Aug 18, 2005, 02:14 AM Hi,
Im an asian woman who's desperate to get rid of the dark patch on my skin which is right below my eye.
I've come acroos reading about the Skin Lightening Report through the web. Question, is it as good as it sounds? Is it worth getting it? Someone please advise.
dimples Aug 18, 2005, 12:48 PM Skin lightening products like lotions do work but takes 6mos to years. One thing is that you also have to make sure it has a high spf. A lot of women anesthesiologists do wear them in the O.R. so they wouldnt burn from the bright lights in the O.R. :)
carol Aug 19, 2005, 09:22 AM You can buy Godiva skin care products direct from the manufacturer through www.godivaskincare.com. They ship pretty fast, using FedEx, and they offer free shipping for orders $50 and over.

Hey Desii!
I haven't read all of the post because it was just too much. But in the end did you find a product that lightened your skin? I'm brown skin and I got a really bad tan on vacation. I'm just trying to get back my natural color. I'm not going to pay $100 for a kit. Thats too much. It's not that serious, but I did purchase some soaps. I wasn't sure which ones so I brought 3.
1. Silk Elements with Lemongrass and Lavender, also Sea Butter
2. Black Opal- Pre-fade Complexion Bar
3. Ambi- Complexion Cleansing Bar
So if anyone knows anything about these or anyfeed back let me know!

2. Black Opal- Pre-fade Complexion Bar
3. Ambi- Complexion Cleansing Bar
So if anyone knows anything about these or anyfeed back let me know!
Pale White Skin Aug 22, 2005, 02:56 PM I hear the Amira Whitening Cream also works well. I might check that out soon because it works better than the soap. I'm using the Biolink green papaya soap right now but I need a whitening cream to go along with it so I might buy some of the Amira Whitening cream
Pale White Skin Aug 23, 2005, 02:06 AM hmmm hey you guys i'm going to check out an asian market tomorrow and i was wondering if you have any suggestions for soaps or creams that will work the fastest and is safest to use??? i've tried the green biolink soap and i ordered the amira magic cream ( 15 gram ).. what else should i buy tomorrow when i go to the asian market. (( any suggestions out there will help! )) :)
unis Aug 23, 2005, 02:20 AM guess you have to secure a whitening lotion too since amira is for special place sthat need special attention unless you want to make it as a lotion that would really be very expensive besides you got 15g and it wouldnt even cover all entire body :)
dimples Aug 23, 2005, 04:31 AM I have to admit I have been in the look out for all possible products that could whiten me. My mother is porcelain white & yet my dad is dark,DARK. When I young, my mom, worried at us not inheriting her nice complexion had our skin bleached. Hehe. That was a one time so it never worked. In high school, I was very dark still & started experimenting on anything. Makeup, skin lighteners, etc. When I was in 1st year college, my dad had a secretary who had very very fair cousins. She swears that they used Ettas bleaching powder religiously. So, I did. Me & my sister did. It was a very messy experience. We had to paint our bodies with this mixture & wait for it to dry standing in our bathroom as not to damage the bedroom floors! Sometimes, it would itch a bit. Not the major one. & you have to use tons of lotion afterwards as it does dry out the skin. After months, we did get whiter skin. Promise. But it also bleached all our body hair blond. Hehehe. We forgot about it & just stuck to lightening lotions. When old classmates from high school see us, they usually comment on how we fair weve become. Like more than 5 shades lighter. I look back & think, I guess those nights using Ettas really did pay off.But that is not the end of it. A week ago, I started glutathione pills (2500mg glutathione with 5000I.U. Vitamin C). I want to see for myself if this is but a myth. In a weeks time, there has been no effect as to whitening. That I assure you all but I noticed a very remarkable softening of my skin. All bumps that sometimes occur on gluteal folds & blackheads, whiteheads have all disappeared. So far, thats it. Be reporting to you soon about week 2!
unis Aug 23, 2005, 04:41 AM well ettas really works just that you have to really go through those mess... i have been recommending ettas to my clients too and been telling them what theymay gone through using that... but most of them go with it and love its results though they have to really clean the bathroom floor well afterwards :) hehe... and the glutathione pills works too just that you have to wait for sometime to see its results like for brown skin it would probably take 2-3 months and so because the whitening starts from whithin thats why it takes more time to show unlike lot |
