Your list of products to try looks "good".

I'd go ahead and try Godiva first and see if it works on your skin. They say it works on Asian skin because Asian skin is not that dark to begin with.

The product works for skin that is pretty light already, not for someone looking to get a couple shades lighter.

I don't know about the Magic Cream product. There are so many "magic" creams out there I have no idea which is which.

Fair and Flawless worked great for me. It is the more expensive of the creams but it is well worth the price as far as I'm concerned.

The Body gel will get you really light, real quick, even though they(the company) says it's not for the face, they have some customers who use it that way. But it does not look to me that you are looking for something that strong.

As far as under eye lightening I just bought a cream called Serious Skin Care Phase Out Under Eye Brightening Cream on Ebay. I have seen his product for years on the Home Shoppind Network and the before and after picture results were very good. I'm just now getting around to finally buying it and hopefully it will work.

There are still people out there (include me)..that "knows" magic creams does work! ;)

sup, thanks for the feedback ppl,

so i guess magic cream is eliminated, my plan is to mix godiva and whiterskin and see what happens. and if that doesnt work, then screw it. im gonna experiment with orange peels, zafron, licorise, and baysun (heard thats healthy for ur skin) and perhaps yogurt. mix all of that together, make a nice paste and apply it. just hope i dont break out....any feedback on the dark eye circle things???

Has anyone had any good results using the Block and White soap? If so, what kind to use? I have the one with melawhite and I've been using it for about 3 months now.. no results though.

Don't use Block and White products, they DO NOT work. I used them before so has a friend of mine. She used to it to get lighter skin, I used it to even up my skin and lighten scars. Used it for months, nothing. A friend of mine said green papaya soap is good. Try Likas or...I forgot the other brand that's good also. There is a block and white green papaya, and that does not work! Another friend of mine tried that out, he said it just tightened up his skin, nothing else

don't expect naturally dark skin to come out really white using whitening soaps. but the skin will lighten provided you use the product continously. products that have been proven to whiten the skin is: kojic acid, licorice and hydroquinone

Kate Jones Kojic Acid Soap may well be your best choice. This is available in dermatology center here in the Philippines, packed in generic forms. This should be used with a sunblock for best result

I have also heard of Green Papaya Soap

With a Pakistani mother who has porcelain-white skin year-round, I had very fair skin with pinkish undertones as a child, but then I moved to the sunny state of Texas and things changed considerably. Around age 6 my skin began to darken quite a bit as I played in the sun for hours every waking day- it ended up very dark compared to how it had been. I began to be conscious about cleansing & exfoliating circa age 12, and once I started to exfoliate my skin lightened considerably so my complexion became light and wheatish.

I later stumbled across Irish Spring Deodorant Soap with Vitamins for use during showers as body soap, but I soon discovered that it even worked wonders for my face. If I scrub it on and let it dry for a few minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water, my skin stays extremely fair for pretty much the whole day. I've now permanently regained the light, porcelain-like skin color of my childhood and my skin is soft, healthy, and very clear. I'm fourteen and seldom break out. Other products I've used include Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser, Avon Pore-Fection Cleanser, and Got2BSpa 2Facial Exfoliating Scrub. All of these give me equally great results when I leave them on for a few minutes and rinse off. As an added bonus, the scrub makes my skin literally feel as incredibly soft and smooth as a baby's so if you desire softness, that would definitely be a good bet. Another trick that gives my skin a light, dewy glow is applying a certain moisturizer- such as Aloe Vera cream for example- and leaving it on overnight while sleeping in front of a running fan so the air is cool and hits my face. When I wake up, my skin is guaranteed to be softer, fresher, and brighter. Also a good leave-on I've tried is Dicinson's Cleansing Witchhazel Toner- I'd heard ENDLESS positivity regarding the impressive effects of witchhazel on the skin, including that it's a great brightener, and that proved true in my subsequent experience. Yet another great item includes Pond's Cleansing Cream, which if combined with a splash of water and left on for a few minutes, then rinsed, gives the skin a very fresh, dewy glow.

In terms of skin whiteners, I've used only one... And I would greatly recommend it and never think to use any other type. "Dr. Fred Palmer Skin Whitener Tone & Bleach Cream" was something I tried one day on a casual whim- and I ended up extremely impressed. It brightened & lightened my skin and left it with a BEAUTIFUL, dewy glow- a friend of my mother's saw my skin on a day I'd used some and she remarked that my complexion held a heaveny light... every single other day I've used it I've gotten very good feedback as well. It contains 2% hydroquinone, but I've used it sparingly for SEVERAL months and not seen a SINGLE negative side effect. I'm quite sure that as long as it isn't used constantly, it surely isn't as harmful as it's made out to be and I wouldn't think twice about its use as it has never even vaguely presented a negative result- perhaps the different way in which I use it dilutes the harshness or something... When I used it as directed, by smoothing it on dry skin and just leaving it on, it didn't have any affect- good or bad- on my skin, whereas if I applied a thin layer of it with wet fingertips on a wet face just before a thirty-minute hot shower and rinsed it off afterwards, I got that incredible glow.

In conclusion, I'm not a skin care expert or anything, but I've got extremely nice skin that is now as fair and lovely as ever so I thought I'd add my two cents. I'm not sure if these products would work for everyone as varying skin types and many other factors can decidedly change the effects for various people, but these products worked great for my sensitive dryish/combination skin.

Its a decent list. I have heard that Godiva doesnt really show any significant changes. Also Im not sure about magic cream, but there have been some doubts on what's really in it. Lot of people say it has hydroquinone even though it doesnt list it. F&F and Whiterskin would be great choices. I have heard some negitive things about both, but in general the feedback is good.

Ive used amira magic cream to whiten my underarms and believe me it worked within 2 weeks. now i sport whiter underarms. the bad thing though is you should not use it for more than a month for it makes the skin thin. It kind of hurts and reddens as the formula works on the skin. try using it for a week then rest it for 2-3 days then again. do not use deodorant while you are on it and dont rub it when you take a bath. Amira has high mercury content so be wary.. it's also gud for dark napes and sometimes work wonders with stretchmarks.

I have used Amira Magic Cream, and I haven't gotten any negative results. Though I never use it during the day, since I have sweaty underarms. I only use them at night. I never had any negative results. I used it for over half a year. Every night

hiya DESII, i read ur message about wanting to lighten your skin colour, like u ive been trying to do the same for a while. ive many things but they havent worked-maybe because am too impatient and want a fast fix. my skin colour isnt really dark niether is it fair, however its inconsistent.
dont bother wasting ur money on soaps becuase they do NOT work, and dont use anything that has hydroquine because it damages ur skin, i had big red spots.
at the moment am using a product from bewti.com, so far ive noticed that my skn has lighten abit but its just been a month, ill keep u updated. planning on using it for 3 months.

Faye, how many shades have you lightened within that month?

hiya white zombie, soz about the late reply, its kinda wierd, ive noticed that its lightened by one shade especially my hands, my face though on the other hand is much more brighter and lighter than before. my creams finished now but at times i notice that my skin colour goes back to its orginal colour, maybe because ive stopped using it for 3 days, am still thinking if i should stick to it or try whiterskin.com products as it sounds good, but i need to beg my mum for her credit card because i dont have one!lol

Hey there faye.. would you mind telling me what product you bought on bewti.com... and how much it costs.
I am basically in the same place that you are with my skin, and the only thing I've ever used is hyrdroquinone. I know people say it's back for you.. but it's cheap, and easy to get.
I don't ever notice any drastic differences.. but that's probably because I never use it long enough. I'm impatient, and I forget things easily.

So anyways, I just want to know what product you are using, how much it is, and what is the key whitening ingredient in it?

For those who do not wish to go through the torture of reading 27 pages of replies, here's a list of the main products that have been mentioned throughout the thread:

1) bewti.com
2) oriki.com [sounds good, but looks like it will only work on light coloured Asian skin]
3) makari.com [made in U.S., but makes skin breakout for some people]
4) godivaskincare.com [made in Phillipines]
5) whiterskin.com [expensive, but have read many praises about it]
6) Dr. Fred Palmer Skin Whitener Tone and Bleach Cream [very inexpensive]
7) Various Papaya Soaps- Jegimajo - Filipino - Asian imports, special food from the Philippines, great gifts! (http://www.jegimajo.net/catalog/default.php?cPath=86_40)
8) www.amiramagic.com [mercury is one of the ingredients, so i would avoid this product]
9) Skin Whitening (http://www.fairandflawlessskin.com)
10)http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/products/antioxidant/lglutathione/LGlutathione_Lotion_Spec226.html

Some of the highlights:
-Try to avoid products that have hydroquinone (sounds dangerous)
-ingesting whitening pills doesn't seem to work
-obviously, read the ingredients for each of the products + research to make sure the ingredients are safe
-make sure the product is approved (in U.S. by FDA, in Phillipines by BFDA)
-you can usually judge by the website how professional and reliable the company is.
-Godiva's products + Fair and Flawless sound like the safest and most effective products from what i have read here.

You should really ask a skin specialist, because many bleaching creams contain forbidden substances. There's really so much your skin can take when it comes to skin lightening. People always bring up Michael Jackson, but ask ANY dermatologist about MJ and his skin-color change over the past two decades. One cannot bleach themselves to that level from the color he once was.. Our bodies cannot handle the toxin levels.
A dermatologist testified under oath (during the trial) that MJ has vitiligo and was prescribed retin a and benoquin to even out his skin. So using MJ as an example is no use (a previous poster did)..get proffesional advice because the effects can be damaging and in some cases, your skin darkens..

. how da fuk can you make a statment like that when you dont even kno me. i live in LA, i have black friends, mexican friends, white friends, asian friends, middle easter friends. how can you say im beeing racist just beacuse i wanna lighting my skin ALITTLE BIT. that dont change who i am. u think imma go from a shade of black to white, then start hanging out with kkk. what kinda bull statement are you sayin.. honestly i think ur soo full of it. may be your mind is stuck in ancient mindset beacuse you think every one is racist. i mean come on where in this thred have any of said we dont like black people, we should join the kkk or nazi? your just trying to put words into our mouth to prove your point. we all just want to tone our skin that DOESNT MEAN WE THINK THERES SOME THING WRONG WITH DARK SKIN....gezz uu need the reality cheak since u cant make statments like that when you dont even kno the person....

im not trying to be harsh or any thing, i just was totaly struck by your post when in fact it pisses me off when ppl are racist twards me ( im middle eastern) soo why would i show that same hate backk?

OKay I think the initial person who tried to make this into a racist concearn should start worrying about themselves not others. I see most people on here just wantting to even out their skin tone .(NOT BECOME WHITE ) it was wrong what they were accusing you of.
Myself I am half chinese and the other half is a mix of south american aboriginal, german portugese and egptian ! I started using the products because I was sick of the fact that in pictures my body is 7 times lighter than my face !!!It looks like I am wearing the wrong foundation on my skin ! Pretty creepy .Because of this I even get black women at work telling me my parents hate me and I must be adopted since the rest of my family is a extremly light olive complexion to an oriental complexion then they tugg my hair because they swear it not real ! I am not racist as I have friend from all over but I would like to look even toned with my body and also not have people questioning my ethnicity !!!
Since using papaya soap /licorice soap and diane stalder whittening creams my skin has become brighter and even .

u should try glutathion pills, it helps whiten my skin. it will surely do work for u also. if ur really that dark? it will take u 1 year to see d results. for me, it only takes me 3 months coz im not that dark. u can try also gluta injection it was being use by many dermatologist now a days. try to ask ur derma about it. i hope it gives u an idea.
