Interested in learning about the 6 paintings I have by Claude Monet.
Not sure if paintings, reprints, or reproductions is the correct term to use, and not sure how to tell the difference.
They all have the following information printed at the bottom: Claude Monet, (French 1840-1926), Title, Oil on canvas, size, The Art Institute of Chicago, name of individual's collection (?), copyright date 1987 The Art institute of Chicago, copyright VG Bild-Kunst, Bonn 1990.
The six titles are: CLIFF WALK AT POURVILLE 1882, POPPY FIELD 1890, BORDIGHERA 1884, VENICE PALAZZO DARIO 1908, WATER LILLIES 1906, ON THE SEINE AT BENNECOURT 1868.
The name of the artist and a number are visible on 5 of them.
I want to understand the significance of the aforementioned information, would like information on the value, and if my assumption is correct that reprints/reproductions is the correct term to use. Please include helpful websites.
Thank you for your anticipated responses and assistance. :)
