I dont remember my yahoo password. i know all the secret questions and answers but i dont want to reset it. Just want my old password back. any ideas? N i have already been to the yahoo sign in page. it asks to provide new passwrod which i dont want to.

Wouln't you rather have a new password you like and can remember easily, not one you liked back then?

If you are being asked for a new password then you or someone changed it. If this is the case, you can't retrieve the old password. Go through the reset procedures using your secret questions/answers, once this is complete, change the password back to the old one. If don't believe yahoo uses previous password word tracking but if so you will not be able the use the old password anymore.

Yahoo won't change password to old one. No where database is backed up for single entries.
They would just provide you url to change password.
