I have been told that I have to book my time off for summer before next Monday, and that I have to take a two week holiday between June and September, and before this is booked I am not allowed to book any other holiday. I want one day in February and am being advised this will not be authorised.

Can it be dictated like this - that we are told when we have to take holidays? There is nothing about this in my contract and I do not want to take time off in February and then have nothing until September time, and I certainly do not want a two week block. I would like to choose when I take my holiday, and staff coverage allowing, this should be authorised.

Any advice would be gratefully received.
