Hi All, I have been doing the Newsday crossword puzzle on line for months and all of a sudden I cannot load the puzzle which uses Java. I am getting aan error message as follows: Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method)
at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(Unknown Source)
at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(Unknown Source)
at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source)
at java.net.SocksSocketImpl.connect(Unknown Source)
There is more to the error but how do I fix this? It is driving me crazy. I have a dlink for my daughters lap top, I am using Windows XP o/s and I connect to the internet through cablevision modem. She cannot get the puzzle from her laptop either. However my boyfriend brought his laptop and when he connected to the internet through an outside wireless source he was able to get the puzzle.
