I've been repeatably searching the internet for the name of a collection of small metal toy tanks and planes that I collected as a child.

They were about circa early 1990's in the UK and I brought them from a local newsagent & the Co-op toy store. The small tanks/planes/helicoptors were sold in packs of 4, with usually 1 of the four more elaborately decorated than the other three - marking it as the squadon leader effectively. There were larger toys which could carry the small tanks etc in different ways. There were two sides and I can only remember that one side was known as Allied Forces.

One specific tank could be placed on its rear end and the plastic turret could be moved so that it could fire at a 90 degree angle (downward when on its tracks).

A notable feature on the planes/heilcopters was that each toy had a silver nail/pin in the bottom, which help attached it to the packaging.

If anyone knows the name of these toys or where I can get them from, it would be very much appreciated.
