I was playing tennis Tuesday with three friends. There was a match going on on one side of us. It was an ALTA match. We had balls flying all over both courts. At one point I am being accused of calling a ball of ours a let ball on another court. I have been playing tennis over 35 years and I don't ever remember calling one of my balls on another court a let ball. I was told I did this. Two days went by and this same person started in on me that I should appologize to the girls playing next to us. I said for what. She said you called a let ball. I said I don't remember doing that. She said they were having a match. I said I did not know they were in a match. My friend said, didn't you see the score card on the post. I said no. How many times do you see a score card on the net posts? Well, it turns out that my friend is trying to climb the social ladder in the club and a girl she is trying to impress who is on the team my friend would like to be on must have implied I caused their team to loose the match. I said, what about your friend who was yelling at the back of our courts. She caused me to miss several serves and miss a lot of returns. So. My friend said, I looked this up on line and it said you were not to call a let ball for someone else. Frankly I don't think I did that. If a ball was at someone feet, knowing me, I would have tried to avoid that but I just don't ever remember calling let for someone on another court.

I'm sick and tired of this social climber and think I am going to stop playing tennis with her. I have been a member of this social club for over 35 years, she has been a member four years since she married her husband. I think I am going to stop playing tennis. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced.

I also got this friend in my Garden Club and now she does not even speak to me at the meetings. I also introduced her to a friend of my at our Hilton Head place go to play tennis and now she has invied my friend to come and stay with she and her husband and never told me. I also gave her my friend's name who is going to Canyon Ranch for a cheaper price and she talks to her now and never lets me know she ever speaks to her.

What would you recommend I do with this person?
