I recently dyed my hair dark blonde (light brown before it fades) and I normally put highlights in it using the regular bleaching way to make like white blonde highlights which looks good when it fades. My question is, when putting blonder highlights in dark blonde hair, do you HAVE to us the bleach or can you just buy a lighter shade of blonde dye and use that to highlight to make a not so WHITE blonde highlight? I'm trying to put highlights in my hair that are really close to the dark blonde all over, so close you hardly notice. If so, what is the process and the is the shade I should use?
