I am wondering if there are any canadians or americans who are in my situation: My father was born in france and immigrated to canada as a 10 yr old with his parents. Because he left at a young age, he did not return to france to complete (or even start) his required military service. Because of this, he can be arrested upon landing on french territory. I am travelling there next year. To facilitate living and working in france, I would like to obtain my french passport/EU passport. Deos anyone have any advice or experience? I appreciate any comments or tips offered.
