LCD, TFT LCD, oled, touch screen
Im in need of knowing the technology behind a simple LCD.

I do know that LCD uses something like "nematic liquid" stuff (twisted nematic, IPS, AFFS) like this in displaying pictures, but Wikipedia doesn't seems to have explained in details.

Can someone explain how does the science behind the LCD works? I mean like, the circuitry connection, how does the nematic liquid behave (which relates to bio-technology) n so on?

Apart from that, how does TFT LCD works? OLED?

As I know OLED is a revolutionary of LCD, but how does the "so called conduction band n emission band" works on the electron?

Besides, how about touch screen? Something like
    1. mutual capacitive touch
    2. self capacitive touch
    How do all these work?

I wanted to know the science behind it, the circuitry connection n so on.

Howstuffworks website seems to help a little, but the explanation's too brief. I need a more detail explanation... can someone help me? Or is there any link? Or reference? Or journal to refer to?

    THANKS A LOT...
