Wow. Those admins at Northwestern really know how to play hardball with the violent protestors.
The concessions, according to a copy of the agreement published by Northwestern leadership, include:
- Disclosure of school investments to students who request information.
- Funding to support two visiting Palestinian faculty members for two years; full-ride scholarships for five Palestinian undergraduate students; and a commitment to fundraise for similar opportunities.
- Immediate establishment of a temporary community house for Muslim, and Middle Eastern, and North African students and a promise to establish a permanent space.
In exchange, students will only have one tent set up on the picturesque university lawn and will only use amplified sound devices with advanced permission from the school, according to the agreement. They also risk suspension if they don't follow the terms of the agreement.
The message is very obvious. If you want something at Northwestern, then hold several days of wild protests and it will be granted. Well done, NW!! |

They have been tip toeing with radical Marxist and Islamist Jew haters for a half year trying to find the perfect balance between free speech and order .
As we saw during the Occupy Wall Street and other similar "mostly peaceful" protests ,eventually the police they want to defund are called in to clean up the mess they create by appeasing them.
They buy time by caving. Brown U did something similar. The students disbanded after Brown agreed to meet with them about divestment.

Clueless Joe has not surprisingly been conspicuously silent about these protests .(except noted when he flubbed his 'good people on both sides ' moment)
This could change soon. He is scheduled to give the commencement address at Morehouse College May 19 . Faculty and students are not exactly thrilled with the prospect.
This is clearly a campaign stop for him . He will be in battleground state of Georgia and catering to a Black audience. But his continued support for Israel puts him at odds with these anti-Jew protesters .
So far when he is on campus he concentrates on the right to kill babies. His last stop at George Mason University ,he tried to make it about abortion. But he was heckled about Israel.
Gaza protesters repeatedly heckle Biden during abortion rally: ‘Genocide Joe!’ - Washington Examiner
Don't look for him at campus that often this campaign. His puppet masters want small intimate gatherings where they can select the audience and better control his verbal diarrhea.
Dan Henniger at WSJ wrote in yesterday's edition
Because his re-election team assumes an equivalence between younger Democratic voters and the Gaza encampment occupants, the American president has himself become a hostage to the hardest of the U.S. hard left. He won’t cross them, and they know it.
When Mr. Biden gets to Chicago in August for the Democratic convention, uber-left Mayor Brandon Johnson won’t have the cops’ back the way New York’s Eric Adams did this week. On current course, the Biden candidacy could die this summer in Chicago.

Now here's a plan I can endorse for all these hateful antisemitic pro-jihadist student protesters .
Mohammad Moazzeni, head of Shiraz University told media that “students and even professors who have been expelled or threatened with expulsion can continue their studies at Shiraz University and I think that other universities in Shiraz as well as Fars Province are also prepared [to provide the conditions].”
This could be the single most transformative educational experience of their lives.
Just a year studying abroad in Iran is worth a lifetime of education.
So Iranian universities are making the ultimate pitch to come for the free education and stay for the free amputations.

Here in the south ,the frat boys are fighting back .
Guillermo Estrada on X: "My fraternity brother and others ran over to hold it up, in order for it not to touch the ground. People began throwing water bottles at us, rocks, sticks, calling us profane names. We stood for an hour defending the flag so many fight to protect." / X (twitter.com)
D. Scott @eclipsethis2003 on X: "UNC Chapel Hill Pi Kappa Phi Men Defending our Flag. https://t.co/iy5AXb2Z3o" / X (twitter.com)
But amidst the chaos, the screaming, the anti-semitism, the hatred of faith and flag, stood a platoon of American heroes. Armored in Vineyard Vines and Patagonia, fueled by Zyn and White Claws, these triumphant Brohemians protected Old Glory from the unwashed Marxist horde — laughing at their shrieks and wails and shielding the Stars & Stripes from Soviet missiles.
These boys… no, men, of the UNC Chapel Hill Pi Kappa Phi, gave the best to America and now they deserve the best. Help us raise funds to throw this frat the party they deserve, a party worth of the boat-shoed Broleteriat who did their country proud.

This funder intended to raise a couple of bucks for a party has already topped $450,000

Pretty good summary of the situation. "Commie losers across the country have invaded college campuses to make dumb demands of weak University Administrators."

An under cover cop says that municipal cops should let the Universities clean up their own mess .
I would avoid getting involved as much as possible. The universities created this problem, and it’s not fair for them to ask the cops to come in and fix it. The universities have their own security forces. The state schools have their own police forces. They can expel people. They created this mess; it seems like they really encouraged it. Then it got out of hand, and now they want to be rescued. There’s no upside for the cities and police departments to bail out the universities.

That is all well and good for campus protests ;which I believe will peter out after graduations anyway ; but how will the cops react when Chi-town burns during the Dem Convention ?
