    Hi, pritilohiya!

Are you saying that you want to make it look like it's rusted, please?

    Thanks!

    Hello Clough,

The iron furniture is new and without any painting. I need to give it natural rust finish. Even if I sprinkle water on the furniture, some parts get rusted while some don't at all. Please help me out.

    Thanks

    Hi again, Pritilohiya!

There may be a clear, protective finish that is already on the iron. Are the iron parts round, flat, spiral or in some other shape, please?

    Thanks!

I would suggest going over them with some #00 steel wool with some lacquer thinner to remove anything on the surface that might be inhibiting the rusting action. Please be sure to wear protective gloves and to do this in a well-ventilated area.

Another thing to try would be to use abrasive (sand) paper that's 80 to 100 grit, without any lubricant to try to remove anything that's on the iron. Please be sure to wear a dust mask when doing that.

After doing either of those things, I would suggest putting water on the parts, leaving them in the rain, etc.

    Thanks!
