    Speech-language training
My 4 year grand son has a speech-language problem. If I ask anything he repeats the question, instead of answering it. Sometime he talks a perfect sentence which is interesting to him. In general he is fit in hearing and talking. I am confused either it requires therapy or it can be overcome by any domestic exercise. Please advise.

Get help. Repeating Questions is not typical for a four year. See your local school district and have an evaluation by the preschool speech/language thera[ist.

My daughter has this problem as well. She is 5 now but has had speech problems since she was 3. talk to your doctor. He will talk to him. And if he is concerned enough will send him to a specialist. If its mild, there is nothing wrong with waiting until school for the school to evaluate him and send him to speech class within the school (which is what my daughter is in)

I am speech-language therapist in the public schools and work with, as well as evaluate, several dozen preschool children each year. Some doctors are wonderful about making referrals, others wait too long. Early intervention is the key here. Have the therapist meet with the child and decide if an evaluation and/or treatment are necessary. Some delays are developmental in nature, and more time is all that is needed for the child's skills to grow and develop. In other situations, the earlier the invention, the better! Don't wait until school starts. Let the professional decide the best course of action.
