    Bonding independent contractors
I am a business owner of a telemarketing company that sells subscriptions to magazines. My question is, if I were to hire independent contractors to work for me from their home, and they get such information such as a customers credit card numbers to pay for the order should I protect my company by having them get bonded in case they were commit a crime and use the customers card?

Any information would be appreciated. Is there any thing else I should do to protect my company?

    1. yes requiring them to provide you evidence that they are bonded. Or have a agreement with a bonding company to bond those acceptable for a fee.

    2. a contract, the contract should state clearly their relationship with you, it should clearly state they are not employees, and so on, to protect yourself
