There is actually no way to stop it. Any decision that the Government makes will influence public opinion.
Is there a particular example that you are wondering about?

Every government action influences public opinion.
When Stephen Harper announced today that he was naming Justice Rothstein to the Supreme Court, that is influencing public opinion.
He then said that Justice Rothstein was also considered for the Supreme Court by the former Liberal government. So he is trying to win over the public, those that support both his govt and the Liberals.

Every person should seek out their own opinion for that subject, don't let the government tell you what you should think. The government is suppose to represent you the average person. Everyone knows that the only function of the government now is to dictate their policy and to H*ll with you. That's my opinion.
Every person should demand the government obey the constitution.

I am not sure how 9-11 plays into this but….
Patriot act, and the general lack of rights does suck.
I am still amazed that President Bush implemented the no-speech zones or something. How if you anti-Bush you have to be in a certain area…the free-speech areas or whatever they are called.

In my opinion 9-11 was a government job, to enrage the public, so that they could invade the mideast. It all about oil and natural gas in the area, nothing more.

I know that there has been a lot of debt about that subject across the globe and there was even that 9/11 film made... As for the reason to start war?? I'm still very 50/50. In the UK it has made Blaire look very very BAD.

They do, they can, and they will! Should they hummm probley not, but after all they can make it look like it was not them influencing public opinion if they really want to.

I just can't fathom that. How could a government murder its own citizens? If it is true though, they should all be sent to jail for a very long time.

No, government can't actually create anything. They can only destroy.
